The Elysabeth Kleinhans Theatrical Foundation renovated a tiny building on a very prominent midtown Manhattan site at 59 East 59th Street. The renovation houses three professional theaters, one with 199 seats, one with 99 seats, and one with 50 seats. Appropirate for ultra-high value midtown Manhattan real estate, the design is astonishingly efficient.

Resident company Primary Stages opened the 199-seat theater on February 1, 2004 with the world premiere of Terrence McNally's The Stendahl Syndrome.

Architect: Leo Modrcin - uRED Architecture
Acoustician: Jerry Marshall - Marshall-KMK Acoustics
